This June wedding was the perfect blend of symbolism and sentimental design — a celebration that honored family, interests, and hobbies in the most intentional ways.
The couple exchanged vows at the timeless Perkins Chapel before hosting an elevated reception at the Dallas Petroleum Club, a venue chosen for far more than just its skyline views.
The Dallas Petroleum Club was a clear choice — earning a stamp of approval from the mother of the bride, an architect, who admired the venue’s unique layout, architectural character, and refined details. But for the groom, the space held an even deeper meaning, in the form of the club’s featured duck paintings, which felt like a sign from his late father, who was a duck hunter.
From the start, Hannah & Hunter envisioned a Mediterranean-inspired color palette filled with sun-washed tones, soft blues, warm neutrals, and hints of citrus. The palette felt fresh and romantic for a summer Texas wedding.
Personal touches were woven throughout the reception design. Guests were greeted by a limoncello seating display, a playful nod to the Mediterranean theme that doubled as an escort card and party favor. The couple’s love of sports made their way into the evening in creative ways, too — like a jersey for guests to sign as the guest book. And, most notably, a basketball-inspired dance floor design.
One of the most heartfelt details belonged to the bride, a devoted teacher, who wore blue and white Nike sneakers, signed by all of her students.
