Western Rehearsal Dinner and Welcome Party at Dec on Dragon

Weddings

When it came to kicking off their wedding weekend, Cameron and Mickey wanted something that truly reflected them. With the bride being a proud Texan living in California, they dreamed up a Texas-sized Fandango — a colorful, high-energy celebration to welcome guests before the big day.

The couple intentionally chose Dec on Dragon as the backdrop for Friday’s events. The scenic views of downtown Dallas offered a completely different vibe from the look and feel of Brook Hollow Golf Club, where Saturday’s reception was held. While Brook Hollow provides a timeless, sophisticated backdrop, Dec on Dragon reads industrial — the perfect contrast to round out their weekend of celebrations. (With the bride’s mom and aunt owning a custom embroidery business, as a former embroidery factory, how could the venue be any more perfect?!)

Cameron, Mickey, and their families wanted every detail of the evening to feel intentional. Guests were greeted with bright florals, handcrafted margaritas, and custom bandanas that doubled as placecards – the perfect blend of Texas charm and California cool.

After dinner, guests walked upstairs for the welcome party, where a Tequila bar, S’mores station, and a live embroiderer awaited them. Not to mention a rockin’ Western band!

It was an unforgettable beginning to a wonderful wedding weekend.
