Vintage Meets Garden Wedding at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek

Weddings

We remember first meeting Sadie, Kirk, and her parents at Foxtrot Market in Snider Plaza in early 2024. She told us she had interviewed nearly 30 planners but was struggling to find the right combination of knowledgeable and kind. After an hour of chit-chatting and talking through various scenarios, we turned out to be the planners she trusted. And thank goodness, because when she first shared her Pinterest board, we could not wait to bring her vision to life.

Sadie curated such a beautiful Pinterest board of consistent images, painting a picture of a vintage and garden-inspired wedding day. Including a wide range of details, like a brass handheld mirror for flat lays and a black and white checkered dance floor.

From day one, there were certain items Sadie had to have, like the lush floral arch for ceremony, clear scalloped chairs, and incorporating her love of toile. But we also had some idea of our own to further enhance her ideas with or own. Like, the foliage added to the front gates of the Event Lawn, setting the tone for guests as they immediately stepped out of the car at valet. And the loose greenery added to the existing brass handeliers in the Promenade to bring more of the outside in.

The weather tested our patience, first having us set the weather backup plan inside, then deciding to just be overcast (which made for stunning photos!) Ultimately allowing Sadie to experience her childhood dream of an outdoor ceremony.

I am very grateful that I chose Sara to be my wedding planner. I am different than the average bride— I interviewed 30 planners. I knew this 13 months of planning was going to take a good working relationship. It was very important to Sara that my design vision came to life, and that was evident in every vendor meeting, but even more evident in the execution on wedding day. It definitely wasn’t always an easy road, whether we were talking budget or even a rain back up plan, but I could always trust Sara to be honest with me. (Which, in my eyes, is everything.)

I know finding a wedding planner is a very personal decision, but I would advocate for Sara and the rest of the Allday Events team to anyone.
