When Sarah Roshan, founder of Emerge Event Collective, came to us in late 2025 with the opportunity to design the organization’s January dinner, we had only one question: Can we pick the theme?!
Our Lead Planner, Sara, got to work. But as she was brainstorming ideas and themes, nothing felt inspiring or moving. Then, one day scrolling through Instagram, she saw several posts about how 2026 was the year for Geminis (which was incredibly motivating, given she’s a Gemini). This got her thinking about new beginnings and what’s in store for everyone’s year ahead… and what a great event theme it would make.
She sprang into action, creating a design board and recruiting some of her favorite vendors to bring the event to life.
Her favorite detail? The horoscope reader.
