Nouveau-Inspired Jewish Wedding at Warwick Melrose

Weddings

Sarah and Ross met the old-fashioned way… online. Their first date was at Mattito’s (where they hosted their rehearsal dinner) – and the rest, as they say, is history.

An old soul, Sarah came to the table with a nouveau-inspired vision with an underlying theme of telling a love story (Hint: check out the pictures of their escort display.)

The design process began by determining the color palette and overall feel of the wedding. We landed on the idea of sunrise and sunset (Fiddler on the Roof, anyone?), with the ceremony featuring blue accents and the reception focusing on gold, orange, and pink tones.

Nailing the stationery was key for Sarah and her creative mother. We took inspiration from Anthropologie’s floral wallpapers, creating an envelope liner reflecting the color palette. To create a uniformity, we carried that pattern and colors through the rest of the stationery, including their custom kettubah, ceremony programs, and escort display.

With all the creative elements involved, the most challenging yet rewarding component was planning a ceremony for 175 guests in the historic Crystal Ballroom with its mirrored columns (iykyk). We took a chance, proposing an in-the-round floorplan with the chuppah in the middle of the room with chairs surrounding all sides. It was first for that room, and like Sarah, incredibly unique.
